Study Abroad Opportunities

Funding/Registration Process for Study Abroad Students:
Students going through CONAHEC register at WNMU and are put in the placeholder course EXCH 300. Students pay tuition for credit hours to WNMU. Financial aid money and scholarships that are left over after paying for courses can be designated to the student towards living expenses while at the host institution. Class schedules and affiliate agreements with the host institution, and consortium agreements are required. Application forms and approval from Advisors at WNMU are required. Grades from the host school are included in the student’s GPA at WNMU. After transcripts are received the credit hours for the EXCH 300 are marked as zero and the credits are listed under equivalent courses at WNMU.

Students attending a school that WNMU has a written agreement with are put in the placeholder course EXCH 300.  Students pay tuition for credit hours at the host institution. KEI

Knowledge Exchange Institute

The Knowledge Exchange Institute was founded in 1997 on the belief that study abroad should go beyond liberal arts education and cultural exchange to include discipline-specific studies and professional development. From the beginning, KEI worked to develop affordable comprehensive programs that integrate courses, internships and cultural interaction. KEI goal was, and continues to this day, to provide education abroad programs that allow students to complete major-specific and general education requirements, gain practical experience and enhance their understanding of the world through cultural and social immersion.
